Autonomy OS

Foundational software for autonomous systems in the physical world.

The platform we intend to build — and the research underway toward it.

01 — Why now

Autonomous machines are becoming unavoidable.

The hardware is arriving — arms, mobile robots, drones, humanoids. What is missing is the software foundation that lets them operate reliably, together, at scale. The bottleneck is no longer building one machine. It is coordinating many.

02 — The gap

Every system is an island.

Today each fleet, cell, and site runs its own bespoke stack. Machines perceive, decide, and act in isolation. Pilots work; scale stalls. Integration cost compounds with every new vendor, and reliability becomes an afterthought discovered in production.

03 — The platform

One layer beneath the machines.

Autonomy OS is a foundational, vendor-neutral software layer that sits under intelligent physical systems — a common substrate to perceive, decide, coordinate, and stay reliable. An operating system for autonomous physical operations.

Orchestration

Software orchestration for autonomous systems.

Coordinating large fleets of machines as a coherent whole — scheduling, contention, recovery, and observability under real-world conditions. Distributed machines operating as one fleet, not isolated agents.

Control

Control layers for large-scale physical operations.

Bridging strategic intent and direct actuation with guarantees that hold under perturbation, latency, and partial information — from planning under uncertainty down to real-time control.

World Model

Modeling & simulation of complex environments.

Representations of the physical world precise enough to act on and compact enough to reason about in real time — and the simulation to test autonomy before it touches the real world.

IVPillar IV

Distributed Intelligence

Architectural frameworks for distributed intelligence.

The architecture that lets intelligence spread across many machines and still compose cleanly — interoperable by design, built to scale into systems that do not yet exist.

04 — Coverage

One layer, across the spectrum.

From articulated industrial arms to bipedal humanoids, the same foundations apply. Autonomy OS is built to span the full breadth of intelligent physical machines.

06 — Approach

Research driven. Systems first.

Autonomy is a stack, not a feature. We design the layers underneath — where correctness compounds and shortcuts decay.

01

Start from first principles.

02

Build core layers, not surface features.

03

Design for interoperability and long-term scale.

04

Favor correctness, clarity, and robustness.

07 — Engage

We engage selectively.

If you are working on advanced intelligent systems or large-scale automation, we would like to understand the problems you face.
